Cookyaown is a short form for “Cook your own Pronounced in pidgin english as “Cook ya own”. Cookyaown uses your internet connection on the first launch to load recipes provided by several recipe providers but uses cached data when users are offline.Why Use Cookyaown?1. Free:Cookyaown is absolutely free. You dont pay anything to get access to the recipes, steps, ingredients or other resources.2. Detailed Preparation steps:Cookyaown has well structured and organised preparation steps, which are detailedly explained for easy comprehension for everyone.3. A wide range of recipes:Cookyaown cuts across several cameroon staple dishes and continental dishes. Recipes cut across almost all the tribes and cultures in cameroon.4. Recipe Description and serve methods:Each recipe comes with a brief description of the recipe, explaining the origin of the recipe and some proper methods to serve the recipes to your loveones.5. Estimated Preparation time and Estimated number of people to serve:Before cooking a recipe, this app gives you an estimated time for the recipe to get ready. Equally, you have an estimated number of people to serve which is approximately coherent with the ingredients.6. Perfect ingredient listing and view:The ingredient view helps users to see all available ingredients with their corresponding quantities and measurement units. The right end of each ingredient card on the list has an eye-toggle which increases the image size of every ingredient, aiding users to properly visualize the ingredient.7. Offline Functionality:On the first launch of the app, Cookyaown saves the recipes which users have accessed and makes them available when users go offline.8. Create, customize and update your profiles:Creating a user profile by clicking on the top circular avatar helps users to create a new profile( if their profile is not yet set up) or view/update their profile details(if they have created one already).9. Organized Content:Cookyaown has pretty much organised content which helps users to easily navigate through the application. The Homepage with home tab, trending tab and setting tap makes navigation and usage very easy for everyone.10. Awesome user interfaceThe design of the application permits a wide variety of users to fall in love with the application. This might make you cook even when you are not hungry. The dark theme saves users with eye strains at night.
